Armando Gonzalez joined Bosch Rexroth in 2021 and is the North American business leader for AMR/Robotics. He’s been in industrial automation for almost 20 years and working with robots since for over 16 of those years. Armando currently resides in Dallas, TX and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. In his time off he’s enjoying the outdoors with his (2) boys or teaching them about NFT’s.
Armando, I am sure everyone knows who Bosch Rexroth is, but remind us who you are?
What is an AMR?
What are some of the misconceptions of Robotic Automation from your perspective?
What’s the best advice you can give someone who is looking to bring in Robotics to
their facility?
What are some of the typical low-hanging fruit use cases, esp for AMRs?
Tell us some stories?
This is fairly new technology…What are some of the big challenges (interoperability?) that industry faces?
What about small manufacturers and AMR’s is there a perception that you have to be big to execute?
Let’s talk about mixed fleets, indeed mixed fork lifts, AMRs in the same warehouse. Who’s in charge?
How do companies have to change: Do we need a traffic cop in our factories? Do we have to have flow experts?
Who is GeekPlus? QR Bots? ASRS systems?
What do you predict the future will look like?
Armando, what do you like to do when you are not selling bots?
Thanks for coming onto the podcast, how can people reach you?
