My guests for this podcast are Lloyd Arnold from Asyril and Stan Glaxer from Mecademic Robotics.
Lloyd Arnold is Product Marketing Manager from Asyril, Switzerland he has 15 years working with automation products across all industries and is a product specialist in machine vision and 3D bin picking. Lloyd has a strong passion for application solving, born out of beginning his career as an Application Engineer. He has just relocated his family from the UK to Switzerland last year during the lockdown to work for Asyril.
Stan Gleizer is Director, Applications and Support at Mecademic Robotics. He has a background in Mechatronics and has worked with industrial robots for the past 8 years in aerospace and automotive, with a focus on high precision applications around vision and force feedback.
He has always wanted to work for a robot OEM, so when he heard about a robot manufacturer starting up in Montreal, he was thrilled to join Mecademic. This podcast is recorded in Montreal, PQ, London, Ontario and Villaz-St-Pierre in Switzerland.
Mecademic develops and manufactures the world's smallest and most precise six-axis industrial robot arm and Asyril are experts in flexible feeding systems, especially in small parts. They manufacture a line of products called Asycube and EYE+ an AI powered controller. Asyril was born out of the watch industry and has it's roots out of academia.
A fun fact is that both companies have their roots in academia.
